What Are They?
A Product, is by definition a SwiftPOS Product, and is generally considered to be an Item or Product that can be ordered by patrons/staff members from one or more Locations within a Venue.

Essentially a Product is needed so that it can be made available for ordering via a Web based application.

Who Can Create Them?
Products are created using the SwiftPOS Products and/or Product Quick Edit menus, and as such any staff member that has the appropriate permissions to access to these menus, will be able to create them. See the What is Required? section below for more information.
What Is Required?
Ensure at least one staff member has the appropriate SwiftPOS Security Group access to the following SwiftPOS menus:
- Products > Product Records and/or Product Quick Edit
- Products > Families
- Administration > OrderAway
How Are They Created?
Using the Back Office Product Records or Product Quick Edit menus, ensure the Products that a Venue will be making available for ordering are created and configured appropriately, and are active in the required Location(s) from which they will be ordered.

Products that are sold via SwiftPOS Touch Terminals can also be made available and ordered via the Web based applications.
