Devices


This menu option is accessed by selecting the Devices option from the TouchMini menu in Venue Manager. Refer to How To Access Venue Manager and How To Access The Configuration Tabs for more information.

What Is It Used For?      

Used to configure devices for TouchMini, as well as view the current licensing information.

TouchMini Devices Section      

Grid      

The grid displays a list of the devices currently available, along with the following:

Devices       Default Device      

This is by default always listed and once configured, it can then be cloned to the other devices registered in the same Location. The following is listed along with the default device.

  • Default Configuration - Select to configure/view the settings for the current Default Device configuration.
Registered Devices      

All the TouchMini devices currently registered for the Venue's selected Location are listed under the Default Device. These can include one of the following types:

The following is listed along with each Registered device listed:

  • Name - Displays the current name given to the device. Select the name to access/view it's configuration tabs.

Notes...



The name can ONLY be selected once the device has been enabled.

  • Registration Number - Displays the registration number currently assigned to the device. This maybe useful information that maybe requested when resolving/troubleshooting any issues. Refer to How To Register A Device for more information.
  • Layout ID - Displays the ID of the Keyboard Layout that will be used as the Home menu.
  • Terminal ID - Displays the Terminal ID assigned to the device. A Terminal ID is assigned when the device is enabled. Refer to How To Enable A Device for more information.

If a device is listed with NO Terminal ID displayed, the device will need to be Re-Enabled to ensure a Back Office Terminal ID is assigned to it. Refer to How To Re-Enable A Device for more information.

  • Emulate - To be continued ...
  • Delete - Select to delete the selected device. Once deleted the device will no longer be registered and the license it used will be available to register another device. Refer to How To Register A Device for more information.

Notes...



A device deleted here does NOT mean it is also automatically deleted in Terminal Records in Back Office. If this is required, then it will need to also be deleted in Terminal Records.


License Information      

  • Expires - Displays the expiry date of the current TouchMini licenses.
  • Licenses - Displays the total number of TouchMini licenses the Venue is currently licensed for. That is, the maximum number of devices that can be enabled at anyone time.

Notes...



Any number of TouchMini devices can be registered. However, the number of devices that can be enabled for use at any one time, is dependent on the number of TouchMini devices the Venue is licenced for. To increase the number of licences please email registrations@swiftpos.com.au.

  • Customer Devices Registered - Displays the total number of TouchMini device licenses that are currently registered. That is the number of devices listed in grid above.
  • Total In Use By XXXXXXXXXXXX (YYYYYY) - Displays the total number of TouchMini device licenses that are currently in use by the selected Cloud Client. Where, XXXXXXXXXXXX is the name of the Venue's Cloud Client and YYYYYY is the Cloud Client ID.
  • Total Available - Displays the total number of TouchMini device licenses that are currently available for use. That is, the number available for new devices to be registered.
