To Be Considered ▼
- Do NOT set up Product/PLU validation as the software will automatically search for a valid Product if all validation options do not return a result.
- If you are only scanning Products than leave the screen blank as it will scan for Products by default.
- Magnetic Cards have a very limited character set that can be used on Track 2. It consists of numbers, =, <, >, or : It is likely that you would want to use track 2 so that the MSR is compatible with other cards that already may be in use. You cannot have some cards encoded for track 1 and others encoded for track 2 in the same Location Group (Venue). If you are using Bar Codes printed with a Code 128 Character site then you have more characters available for your masking options. Refer to Card Masking Information for more information.

Club Scenario ▲ ▼
Change encoding PREFIX every year to be 9991 for site id 999 and year 2011 then in 2012 it would be 9992, this needs to happen every year to make the card valid for 1 year, regardless of paid to date
In touch set the card mask to be 9991XXXXXX, 9992XXXXXX, 9993XXXXXX, then every year remove the first one and add the next years mask, this is necessary to allow old and future dated cards to work mid year.
Scenario 1
A user swipes the card that's for member 1694 and who is paid to 2015, the card will say the number, name classification, and year of paid to date. The encoded data on the card is 9992001694.
The card get processed by Touch, which looks up the card masks to find out if the card is valid, it passes the mask that is set as 9992XXXXXX. Touch passes the member number to NetPOS, which passes it to DACOM and returns a result containing the Card Data.

How Do I Set Up Clerk Input And Members In A Small Site? ▲ ▼
You only require 1 Keyboard input device and 2 masks.
- Mask 1 (Clerk RFID): (00)XXXXXXXX First 2 characters MUST be 00 (2 Zero?s) and are returned with the following 8 digits. Set to Clerk Scan
- Mask 2 (Member): #########X Between 1 and 10 digits set to Member scan
If the first mask does not match the scanned data then it will attempt to match with the second mask.
Voucher Mapping ▲ ▼
The examples below shows what it possible with Voucher Mapping.

You can enter (http://www.swiftpos.com.au/) as a Voucher and have it map to an internal Voucher number that has been created previously. This could be represented as a 2D Barcode that a customer presents to receive a particular offer.
