How To Open A New TAB?     ▲ ▼

A new TAB can be opened in Touch to maintain a list of items/products ordered by a specific patron. A new TAB can be opened in either in TAB First Mode or TAB Last Mode. To open a TAB in TAB First Mode, do as follows:

• In this scenario, it is recommended to configure a Table (#30) POS Key (captioned New TAB) specifically for opening new TABs.
• In Touch, either:
  • Select the New TAB POS Key to display the TAB Information screen. The next available TAB number will be displayed in the header section.
    OR
  • Enter a TAB number and then select the New TAB POS Key to display the TAB Information screen.
• Enter the details for the TAB.
• Select Save.
• The TAB number will appear in the sales grid.
• Add the items/products to the order.
• Save the TAB.

How To Open An Existing TAB?     ▲ ▼

An existing TAB is opened in Touch to take another order. An existing TAB can be opened in Touch in either TAB First Mode or TAB Last Mode. To open an existing TAB in First Mode, do as follows:

• In this scenario, it is recommended to configure a Table (#30) POS Key (captioned Open TAB) specifically for opening existing TABs.
• In Touch, either:
  • Select the Open TAB POS Key to display the Open TABs for All Clerks screen. Locate and select the TAB.
    OR
  • Enter the TAB number and then select the Open TAB POS Key.
• The TAB's items/products will be listed in the sales grid.
• Add more items/products to the order.
• Save the TAB.
