Allergens

This provides a starting point for all things Allergens and in doing so explains how Allergens can be declared and detected throughout the swiftpos Platform to assist Staff (in both front and back of house) cater to their Customer’s needs.

What Is It?      

At its core, Allergens are used to alert POS and Kitchen Staff to the the fact that a patron making an Order/Sale has an Allergen, and therefore extra attention must be given to the Order/Sale in question. Allergens can be declared against Products and Members and also in an Order/Sale. These then flow through to various swiftpos touchpoints namely, KVS, Touch and Dockets – to assist Staff ensure the dietary requirements of Customers are met.


Why Is It Needed?      

To assist Staff, specifically kitchen and food preparation Staff, ensure Customer dietary requirements are met.

Where Is It Used?      


Back Office      

  • Clerks
    • Security Groups - Clerk Security has been added, for the Allergens feature, to the following:
      • Products
        • Product Records - Edit Allergens option added.
        • Allergens option added
          • Allow Full Edit option added.
      • Members
        • Member Records - Edit Allergens option added.
  • Terminal Sales
    • Search Transactions - When a sales transaction is selected that has Declared Allergens, these are displayed as indicated below in the sales transaction in Back Office.



KVS      

  • Settings
    • How To Manage Allergens
  • KVS Display
    • Allergens Declared in an Order/Sale will display in KVS in the Header section as depicted in the example below.
    • Allergens Detected in an Order/Sale will display under their respective Items in KVS as depicted in the example below.
