When Is It Used?      

Used when a Clerk/Staff Member is required to process a refund to a patron for a previously purchased Order/Sale. Using this feature improves the offering to patrons by allowing the refunding of Orders/Sales previously purchased to be refunded using a Touchmini device.

 


How To?      

 

How To GET STARTED?      

    The first time a Touchmini device is being configured for refunding, do as follows:

    How To Refund An Order / Sale?      

    Do as follows:

    • In the Touchmini device:
      • Select the Menu icon in the top left-hand corner of the screen to access the Touchmini Menu. Refer HERE for more information.
      • Select the Ordering Options option to expand it.
      • Select the Refund Mode option. Either one of the following will happen:
        • It is enabled and the Touchmini device will be placed into Refund mode.
          • Collapse the Order Options by selecting on Ordering Options option again.
          • Exit the Touchmini Menu by selecting the X in top right-hand corner.
        • The login prompt will be displayed requesting the Clerk/Staff Member with the authorisation to do refunds to login.
          • Select the Clear Clerk option.
          • Login with credentials of the Clerk/Staff Member with the authorisation to do refunds.
      • The Home menu will be displayed with the font colour of text displayed in red, depicting the device is in Refund Mode.

     

    IMPORTANT

    If the Apollo (Global Pay) payment type option is configured for the Touchmini device then refunds are only permitted via the Transactions screen by selecting the Refund option when the Action option is selected opposite the transaction to be refunded. Otherwise continue as outlined below.

     

    • In the Touchmini device continued ... 
      • If the Apollo (Global Pay) payment type option is being used then s with the exception of the 
      • Locate and select the Item/Product to be refunded to add to an Order/Sale.
      • The Item/Product should appear in Checkout with a negative value.
      • Finalise the Order/Sale.
      • Once the refund has been completed, the Touchmini device will no longer be in refund mode.
