To Be Considered?     

  • From a reporting perspective, a Venue may want to consider configuring a Media to be specifically applied to the Discounts offered by the Thirsty Camel Hump Club. Refer to What is Required? for more information.

 

What Is It?     

The swiftpos Thirsty Camel Hump Club interface is a NetPOS interface that supports the Thirsty Camel Hump Club loyalty program that offers it's members the following benefits;

  • Weekly discount offers
  • Exclusive competitions
  • Birthday rewards
  • Weekly specials & notifications
  • Loyalty rewards* on every dollar spent *participating stores only.

 

What Is Not Supported?     

  • Once an offer is redeemed by a Thirsty Camel Hump Club member, it will no longer be available to the same member again.

What Is Supported?     

  • The following offer types are supported:

    Offer Type

    Description

    Fixed price product

    A particular set of products are available at a set price per item.

    Multi buy

    X amount of product or combination of products is available for buy for a fixed price.

    Sale Fixed Discount

    A discount off an entire sale.

    Item Fixed Discount

    A fixed discount off a particular item(s).

    Item Percentage Discount

    A percentage discount off a particular item or set of items.

    Sale Percentage Discount

    A percentage discount off the entire sale.

 

When Should It Be Used?     

Any swiftpos Venue that wants to integrate Thirsty Camel Hump Club and offer their patrons access to Thirsty Camel Hump Club loyalty rewards program.

 


How To     

 

How To Get Started?     

 

Once implemented and configured Thirsty Camel Hump Club loyalty rewards can be used in a Venue.

 

How To Configure NetPOS?     

Once the above requirements have been met, then the Thirsty Camel Hump Club settings will need to be configured. To do this access the Thirsty Camel Hump Club settings screen in NetPOS via the NetPOS Menu.

Once the Thirsty Camel Hump Club settings screen is displayed, configure it as is appropriate.

To access this screen refer to How To Access The NetPOS Menu for more information. This screen is used to configure the settings required to implement the Thirsty Camel Hump Club.

  • Access Code - Default is blank. Displays/Enter the Access Code that must match the same Access Code configured at the swiftpos Touch terminal. This is not mandatory, but does provide an additional level of security.
  • Store Code - Displays/Enter the Store Code provided by Thirsty Camel Hump Club.
  • Apply Discount to Media - Select the checkbox to ensure a Media is applied to Thirsty Camel Hump Club Discounts that have been included in a sale. Once selected, then enter the ID of the Media that has been configured in Back Office to capture Thirsty Camel Hump Club Discounts.

 

How To Configure Touch?      

Touch will need to be configured to ensure Thirsty Camel Hump Club loyalty benefits can accessed and passed on to patrons. To do this:

Redeem A Thirsty Camel Hump Club Offer?     

This outlines How To Redeem A Thirsty Camel Hump Club Offer using a specifically configured Customer (#102) POS Key in Touch. It is assumed that the entire contents of this page has been reviewed prior to commencing.

 

How To?     

Do as follows:

  • Add items to a sale.
  • Select the specifically configured Customer (#102) POS Key.
  • In the Customer Search screen, enter the patron's Thirsty Camel Hump Club membership number (usually their mobile phone number) to validate they are a member of the Hump Club and to retrieve any offers available to them.

A custom Customer (#102) POS Key must be configured to specifically interface with the swiftpos Thirsty Camel Hump Club interface. Refer How To Configure Touch For The Thirsty Camel Hump Club Interface? for more information.

  • Once validated, the details retrieved will displayed in the grid of the Customer Search screen. For example:

If the patron's Thirsty Camel Hump Club membership number is NOT validated, then the following will be displayed.

  • If any of the items previously added to the sale currently attract an offer, these will appear in the Thirsty Camel Hump Club Offers screen.

If there are NO offers currently available to the patron's Thirsty Camel Hump Club membership, then the following will be displayed:

The above will also be displayed if the Customer (#102) POS Key is selected BEFORE any items are added to the sale. Once Items have been added to the sale, the Customer (#102) POS Key will need to be selected again in order to retrieve any offers available to the patron. This will result in the following prompt being displayed. Select Yes to continue to retrieve the offers available to the patron.

  • If the patron decides to redeem one of the offers listed, then select the Apply button opposite the chosen offer.
  • Once selected the selected offer will be highlighted. Confirm the correct offer has been selected and select OK to apply it to the sale.
  • The total amount of the sale will be reduced by the Discount Value of the offer selected.
  • Complete/Finalise the sale.

 

To Be Considered      

  • It is recommended that a patron's Thirsty Camel Hump Club membership number (usually their mobile phone number) is entered AFTER all items have been added to the sale, rather than at the beginning of the sale. Only those items currently in the sale at the time the patron's Thirsty Camel Hump Club membership is validated, will they be considered when retrieving the Hump Club offers.

 

What Are The Limitations?     

  • Generally, once an offer is redeemed by a patron, that offer is no longer available to the patron. Unless, of course it is an ongoing offer. The availability and redeemable frequency of offers are determined at the discretion of Thirsty Camel Hump Club.
