What Is It?      

A Product is by definition a Swiftpos Product and is generally considered to be an Item or Product that can be ordered by patrons/staff members from one or more Locations within a Venue.

 

What Are The Types Of Products?

A Product can be one of the following types:

  • Combo Items
  • Non-Inventoried
  • Reciped Items
  • Production Items
  • Purchased Items

 

What Other Uses Do Products Have?

Products can also be created, that are not necessarily available for ordering but support other functions within Swiftpos. Included amongst these are:

 

What Is Required?      

Ensure at least one staff member has the appropriate Swiftpos Security Group access to the following menus:

  • Products > Product Records and/or Product Quick Edit
  • Products > Families
  • Administration > Orderaway

 

When Is It Used?      

Essentially a Product is needed so that it can be made available for ordering via a Web based application.

Products are created using the Swiftpos Products and/or Product Quick Edit menus, and as such any staff member that has the appropriate permissions to access to these menus, will be able to create them.

 


How To?     

 

How To Create Products?      

Using the Back Office Product Records or Product Quick Edit menus, ensure the Products that a Venue will be making available for ordering are created and configured appropriately, and are active in the required Location(s) from which they will be ordered.

 

Notes ...


Products that are sold via Swiftpos Touch terminals can also be made available and ordered via the Web based applications.
