  • If required, access to this POS Key can be restricted by the Clerk Security feature.

 

When Is It Used?      ▲ ▼

Used in conjunction with Third Party Vending Machine peripherals to  get/issue a Vending Code provided by a Third Party Vending Company to allow access to services/products. For example, Free Wifi.

The Third Party Vending Machine peripheral will need to be configured to use this function.

GET STARTED?      ▲ ▼

  • Review About and ensure the steps outlined HERE are addressed.
  • In Keyboard Designer, ensure the Get Vending Code (#73) POS Key has been added to a Layout.
  • Ensure it is given an appropriate Caption. For example, Get Wifi Codes.
  • Select the More Settings option to display the Settings screen and configure the POS Key as required.
  • Once configured, ensure a Full Update is sent to all the Touch terminals that will be using the POS Key. Refer HERE for more information.

 

How To Use This POS Key?      ▲ ▼

  • In Touch, select the Get Vending Code (#73) POS Key, to retrieve the vending code.

To access, select the More Settings option in Keyboard Designer. Used to configure the settings for the type of vending machine selected in the Vending Type drop-down list above. Once selected the configuration options specific to the type selected will be displayed. Refer HERE for more information on each of the types of Third Party Vending Machines.

  • Vending Type - Ensure the correct type is selected from the Vending Type drop-down list.

  • Linked Product - Enter/Select the item/product created for which this POS Key is to be associated with. For example. to get the code for Free Wifi, then an item/product would be created for the Free Wifi Code and entered/selected here.
  • The remaining settings, if any, will need to be configured depending on the Vending Type selected above. Refer HERE for more information on each of the types of Third Party Vending Machines.
