Fast Clerk (#111)

This provides an overview of the Fast Clerk (#111) POS Key.

The number of Fast Clerk (#111) POS Keys added will limit the number of Clerks/Staff able to login to Touch at any one time.

This POS Key is only used when the Fast Clerk Keyboard option is selected against the Entry Type setting in Clerk Settings.
This POS Key can be assigned to a specific Cash Drawer, thus enabling Clerks/Staff to Log In/Off using RFID wristbands and have a specific Cash Drawer assigned to them. Refer to Settings for more information.
If required, access to this POS Key can be restricted by the Clerk Security feature.

Review About and ensure the steps outlined HERE are addressed.
In Keyboard Designer, ensure the Fast Clerk (#111) POS Key is added to a Layout.
Ensure it is given an appropriate Caption. For example, n.a. (not assigned).
Select the More Settings option to display the Settings screen and configure the POS Key as required.
Ensure the Layout to which the Fast Clerk (#111) POS Key was added, is set as the Home Layout. Refer HERE for more information.
Once configured, ensure a Full Update is sent to all the Touch terminals that will be using the POS Key. Refer HERE for more information.
Ensure the Fast Clerk Keyboard option is selected against the Entry Type option in Clerk Settings.

To access, select the More Settings option in Keyboard Designer. Used to configure the settings for the Fast Clerk (#111) POS Key.

Drawer - Select from the drop down list the Cash Drawer to which this POS Key will be assigned. Use this option when Cash Drawers are assigned to individual Clerks/Staff.

Notes...

If NO Cash Drawer assignment is required then leave the setting to the default value of No Assignment.
