This provides an overview of the Declare Allergens (#380) POS Key.

What Is It Used For?      

This POS Key is used to ensure Clerk/Staff are able to include a patron's Allergens of concern when taking an Order. Once included, Clerk/Staff will be alerted to those Products in the Order for which an Allergen conflict is detected. Also, when the Order is sent to the Kitchen, Allergen information relating to the Order will also be included and made available to Kitchen staff.


To Be Considered      

  • If required, access to this POS Key can be restricted by the Clerk Security feature.


What Is Required?      

  • Venues wanting to make use of Allergen notifications will need to ensure the following:
    • All possible Allergens will need to be configured here.
    • For Products that are available to be ordered, ensure any Allergens that may be contained within them, are declared here.
    • For those Members, where their Allergens are known, ensure these are declared here.
