This outlines how to manage Events in Back Office.

How To Create An Event      

An Event can be created using the Back Office Event Records menu option. To do this:

Once an Event has been created, a Session will also be created by default which will have the same ID, Name, From/To dates and Start/End times as it's associated Event. If, however, more than one Session is required to be created, then refer to the How To Create A Session subject for more information.


How To Delete An Event      

An Event can be deleted using the Back Office Event Records menu option. To do this:

  • In the Events Records screen:
    • Select the Event in the grid to be deleted.
    • Select the Event option from the Delete button's drop down list.
    • When prompted for a confirmation to delete, select the Yes button.
    • Select Save to save the changes.
    • The deleted Event should no longer appear in the grid.


How To Edit An Event      

An Event can be edited using the Back Office Event Records menu option. To do this:

  • In the Events Records screen:
    • Select the Event in the grid to be edited. Do as follows for the columns that contain a:
      • Button - For example, Portal Settings:
        • Select the button to open the relevant screen and edit as required.
        • Select Save to save the changes.
      • Drop Down List - For example, Type and Status:
        • Select from the drop down list the option required.
        • Select Save to save the changes.
      • Value - For example, Host ID, Event and From/To dates:
        • Select the required cell multiple times until such time that the value is editable.
        • Edit the value in the selected cell as required.
        • Tab out of the cell.
        • Select Save to save the changes.


How To Create A Session

How To Edit A Session      

A Session can be edited using the Back Office Event Records menu option. To do this:

  • In the Events Records screen:
    • Select the Event in the grid for which a Session is to be edited.
      • In the Event Session Section select the Session that is to be edited.
      • Do as follows for the columns that contain a:
        • Button - For example, Locations, Areas, Portal Status:
          • Select the button to open the relevant screen and edit as required.
          • Select Save to save the changes.
        • Drop Down List - For example, Process Status:
          • Select from the drop down list the option required.
          • Select Save to save the changes.
        • Value - For example, Host ID, Name, From/To dates and Start/End times:
          • Select the required cell multiple times until such time that the value is editable.
          • Edit the value in the selected cell as required.
          • Tab out of the cell.
          • Select Save to save the changes.
      • Select the Event Session option from the Delete button's drop down list.
      • When prompted for a confirmation to delete, select the Yes button.
      • Select Save to save the changes.
    • The deleted Session should no longer appear in the grid.
