Create A Guest / Non-Member Classification

This outlines how to create a Guest/Non-Member Classification for OrderAway and TouchMini.

A Guest/Non-Member Classification is recommended to ensure that the Guest/Non-Member Member created can be assigned to it. In doing so, it also allows the same Member to be kept separate from other Venue Members, thereby not receiving the benefits and NOT accruing points a Venue Member would normally be accustomed to. Also, it ensures the same Member is NOT included in statistics, resignation processes etc.

Create A Guest / Non-Member Classification      

To create, do as follows:

  • Using the swiftpos Back Office's Member Classifications, create a Classification using an unused Classification.

An unused Classification can be identified by one that has a value of 0 in the Total column. For example, this might be the Classification with an ID of 100. To view all Classifications, select the Show All button.

  • Set the value of the Description field to Guest/Non-Member.
  • Set the value of the Paid To Date field to 31/12/2050
  • Set the value of the Points Multiplier field to 0.
  • Set the value of the Redemption Ratio field to 0.
  • Set the value of the Web Redemption Ratio field to 0.
  • Save the changes.
