This outlines how to Clock In/Out in Touch.
It enables staff to record Shift Clock In/Out and record Break Start/End times at the Touch terminal. Once previewed and committed the Shift data will be sent to Back Office, and ultimately be used for Rostering and Payroll purposes.

To Be Considered ▲ ▼
- Access to recording Shift data can be restricted to Clerk/Staff Groups. Refer to Security Considerations for more information.
- Time Clock data can be automatically committed by ensuring the Auto Commit Clerk Time Clock Data option is selected.
What Is Required? ▲ ▼
- Clerk/Staff will need to exist in Back Office and be configured with the appropriate authorisation to ensure they are able to login to operate Touch.
- This feature requires Table Tracking to be enabled.
- To make use of the Clock In button on the Touch Toolbar, ensure the Show Clerk Clock In/Out Panel option is selected.
- To make use of the Clerk Clock In/Out (#605) POS Key, it will need to be added to the appropriate Keyboard Layout using the Designer. Refer to How To Add A POS Key To A Keyboard Layout for more information.

Once the What Is Required? above has been completed, then:
- Select either the Clock In button in the Toolbar, the Clock In/Out icon in the Login screen or Clerk Clock In/Out (#605) POS Key.
- The Clock In Out screen will be displayed.
Notes...
If the Clerk logged in does not have authorisation, then the Authorisation screen will be displayed instead.
- Using the numeric keypad enter the Clerk ID and select OK.
- Select from the icons enabled at the bottom of the screen to either Clock In/Out or Start/End a Break.
- A message will appear confirming the action selected in the above step was successful.
- Select Close to exit.
Security Considerations ▲ ▼
Access to recording Clock In/Out data can be restricted, when selecting the:
- Clock In button in the Toolbar - By selecting/deselecting the Allow Clock In/Out option in Security.
- Clock In/Out icon in the Login screen - By selecting/deselecting the Allow Clock In/Out option in Security.
- Clerk Clock In/Out (#605) POS Key - By configuring the Clerk Security in Keyboard Designer.
Once Security has been set and a Full Update has been sent to the Touch terminal, then if a Clerk/Staff Member logs in and does not have authorisation to the Clock In/Out feature, the Authorisation screen will be displayed instead.
