What Is Required? ▲ ▼
- Ensure a Backup of the Swiftpos database is made.
- An internet connection is required to download software updates from the Web. For Venues that do not have internet connections, software updates can be downloaded in the form of an install file from the Web where there is internet connection and then installed manually at the Venue.
What To Consider? ▲ ▼
- It is recommended that the new Swiftpos Software Updater is used. This can be downloaded and installed from HERE.
When Is It Used? ▲ ▼
Used to automatically download updates from either the internet or locally. It is also used to download the multi-language files required to enable Language selection. It lists the software modules for which software updates can be downloaded and whether an update is required.
How To? ▲ ▼
In Back Office, do as follows:
- Close all Swiftpos products. Namely, Back Office, Touch, KVS and Menu Boards.
- Download and install the latest Swiftpos Software Updater from HERE, if that has not already been done.
- Once all Swiftpos products have been closed successfully, open the downloaded SwiftposUpdater.exe application to open the Swiftpos Software Updater screen.
- Select the required version to be downloaded from the Select Version drop-down list.
- Ensure the Swiftpos products, listed in the grid section that need updates to be downloaded, are selected.
- Select the Update Selected option in the footer section to start the download and update process.
- Alternatively, one can just choose to download the lates update by selecting the Download Selected option, and then at a later date/time update the software by selecting the Update From Download option.
- Wait for the selected process to complete before closing the screen.
