This outlines how to Assign/Map XERO Accounts in swiftpos for either the XERO or XERO Pro GL Interfaces.

When Is It Required? ▲ ▼
When:
- Venues are implementing either the swiftpos XERO or XERO Pro GL Interface in Back Office for the first time, to interface with their XERO application.
- Venues are already using either the swiftpos XERO or XERO Pro GL Interface in Back Office and have imported an up to date version of XERO's Chart of Accounts. Refer to How To Import The Chart Of Accounts Into SwiftPOS for more information.
What Is Required? ▲ ▼
- The Venue's Location Group (Venue) for which the Chart of Accounts is to be imported, must be listed in the Location Group Settings tab and must be connected to XERO. Refer to How To Add And Configure A Location Group To Connect To XERO for more information.
- Import XERO's Chart of Accounts. Refer to How To Import The Chart Of Accounts Into SwiftPOS for more information.
How To Assign / Map XERO Accounts? ▲ ▼
Do as follows:
- In Data Export > Data Portal > XERO GL Interface > Settings:
- In each of the Account Assignment/Mapping tabs (located to the right of the Accounts tab), do as follows:
- To assign/map a XERO Account to multiple rows, use the Filters and the Apply To options available in the Header section:
- Select a XERO Account from the drop down list.
- Select one of the Apply To options available and apply the selected XERO Account to ensure it is assigned/mapped to the appropriate rows listed in the grid.
- If the Selected Rows option was selected, select the rows in the grid that are to be assigned/mapped the selected XERO Account.
- If no Apply To options are available then, then when the Apply button is selected, the selected XERO Account will be assigned/mapped to all rows in the grid.
- Select the Apply button to assign/map the XERO Account.
- OR, to assign/map a XERO Account to single rows, use the Account drop down list associated with each row listed in the grid, and select the appropriate XERO Account.
- Select Save to save the changes.
- Repeat the above for each of the Account Assignment/Mapping tabs.
- To assign/map a XERO Account to multiple rows, use the Filters and the Apply To options available in the Header section:

- Select one of the Apply To options available and apply the selected XERO Account to ensure it is assigned/mapped to the appropriate rows listed in the grid.

- If no Apply To options are available then, then when the Apply button is selected, the selected XERO Account will be assigned/mapped to all rows in the grid.
