Add And Configure A swiftpos Location

This outlines how to add and configure a swiftpos Location for Web based applications.

In order for Web based applications such as OrderAway, TouchMini and 3rd Party Ordering systems to be able to place Orders and have them processed in swiftpos Back Office, at least one swiftpos Location in the Venue must be added and activated via the swiftpos Cloud Connectivity screen.

What Is Required?      

  1. One or more swiftpos Locations must already exist and be active.
  2. The appropriate permissions are granted to swiftpos Clerk to ensure access to the swiftpos Cloud. Refer to How To Authenticate A Venue With swiftpos Cloud for more information.


How To Add And Configure A swiftpos Location?      

  • To ADD a swiftpos Location, do as follows:
    • Access the swiftpos Cloud Connectivity screen.
    • Select the Add button.
    • In the Search Locations screen select the Location to be added.
    • Once added the Location will appear in the grid with NO VALUE displayed in the Cloud Client ID column.
    • Save the changes.
  • To CONFIGURE a swiftpos Location, do as follows:
    • Still in the swiftpos Cloud Connectivity screen, select the Location added above.
    • Select the Edit button. The Web Location screen is displayed.
    • Configure each of the tabs as is appropriate for the Venue's Location. For more information regarding the tabs, click here.
    • Once completed select the OK button to save the changes.
    • The Location MUST now be Activated.
