This provides information regarding the swiftpos Message service.

How Is It Managed? ▲ ▼
- The Message service can be manually started/stopped by using either the Services menu option in the Administration menu in Back Office or by right clicking the M (Messaging) service indicator in the Information bar in the bottom right of the Back Office main menu.
What Is It? ▲ ▼
The Message service Manages incoming and outgoing messages between SwiftPOS Back Office and all SwiftPOS Touch Clients
What To Consider? ▲ ▼
- If used, ensure it is added to the Firewall Exception List by selecting the Add All Services Firewall Exceptions option.
- It should NOT be used for large networks running over a WAN. Suggest to use Gmail or some other email/messaging service.
When Is It Used? ▲ ▼
It is required when a Venue wants to message between swiftpos Touch terminals.

If this service is NOT required, then ensure it is NOT configured in swiftpos Touch terminals.
