About

What Is It?

IMPORTANT

Linking is NOT adding. That is, it is not a new Layout but an already existing Layout which can be linked to one or more Keyboards at any one time. It is not unique to one Keyboard. This in turn means any changes made to the Linked Layout will affect all Keyboards that currently have that Layout linked.

Linking a Keyboard Layout is the similar to adding a Layout, however instead of it being a new Layout that needs to be configured, it is instead linking (adding) a Layout that already exists and is configured for another Keyboard.

What Is Required?

  • More than one Keyboard must already exist with Layouts configured.

When Is It Used?

Used when a Keyboard Layout from another Keyboard is to be linked (added) to the Keyboard that is currently open in the Keyboards screen. This is usually needed when there is a need for Touch operators to be able to access a Layout that exists on another Keyboard, to which they currently do not have access to.

  • Save the changes.
  • Send a Full Update to the Touch terminals requiring the linked Layout.
  • Once the update has been applied to the relevant Touch terminals, the linked Layout will be available to Touch operators.
