Configure A POS Key
This outlines how to configure a POS Key in Back Office.

- Ensure a Keyboard has been created.
- Ensure a Layout has been added to the Keyboard created above.
- Ensure a POS Key has been added to a Layout.
How To Configure A POS Key? ▲ ▼
In the Keyboards screen in Back Office, do as follows:
- Select the Open Keyboard button to select a Keyboard from the Touch Keyboards screen, for which the POS Key is to be configured.
- Using the Left/Right arrows or the Layout drop down list to navigate to and select the Layout for which the POS Key is to be configured.
- Once the Layout is displayed, locate and select the POS Key which is to be configured.
- Once selected a POS Key can be configured in one of the following ways:
- By right clicking the POS Key - Right click the POS Key to display the Settings menu and select one of the enabled options displayed. Refer to Settings for more information.
- Using Button Properties (to the right of the Layout) - This option provides more configurable options. Refer to the Appearance, Settings and Special Functions for more information.
- Adding an Image to a POS Key - Refer to How To Add Images To SwiftPOS for more information.
- Once the new POS Key has been configured select the Save button to save the changes.
- Ensure a Full Update is sent to the POS terminals that require the update.
