Manage Area Types
This outlines how to manage Area Types for Events in Back Office.

How To Create An Area Type ▲ ▼
An Area Type can be created using the Back Office Event Areas menu option. To do this:
- In the Event Areas screen:
- Select the Area Types button to open the Area Types screen.
- In the Area Types screen:
How To Delete An Area Type ▲ ▼
An Area Type can be deleted using the Back Office Event Areas menu option. To do this:
- In the Event Areas screen:
- Select the Area Types button to open the Area Types screen.
- In the Area Types screen:
- Select the Area Type in the grid to be deleted.
- Select the Delete button.
- A warning will be displayed if the selected Area Type has one or more Areas assigned to it, as it cannot be deleted.
- If no warning is displayed then the Area Type will no longer appear in the grid.
- Select Save to save the changes.
How To Edit An Area Type ▲ ▼
An Area Type can be edited using the Back Office Event Areas menu option. To do this:
- In the Event Areas screen:
- Select the Area Types button to open the Area Types screen.
- Do as follows for the columns that contain a:
- Value – For example, Area Type and GL Export Type:
- Select the required cell multiple times until such time that the value is editable.
- Edit the value in the selected cell as required.
- Tab out of the cell.
- Select Save to save the changes.
- Value – For example, Area Type and GL Export Type:
- Do as follows for the columns that contain a:
- Select the Area Types button to open the Area Types screen.
