This outlines the How To Add  A New Customer / Member in Touch.

 

How To Add A New Customer / Member?      

Do as follows:

  • In Back Office:
    • Ensure the New Customer (#68) POS Key is added to the appropriate Keyboard Layout using the Designer. Refer HERE for more information.
    • Ensure a Full Update is sent to the required Touch terminals that will be making use of the POS Key. Refer HERE for more information.
  • In Touch:
    • Apply the update. Refer HERE for more information.
    • Select the New Customer (#68) POS Key to open the New Customer screen.
      • Enter the details obtained from the Customer/Member into the fields provided, as is appropriate.
      • Configure any other remaining details that is appropriate for the Customer/Member. For example:
        • Account Limit
        • Allergens
        • Alternate ID
        • Classification
        • Contact Lists (Email, Mailing, SMS)
        • ID
        • Linked Classifications
        • Linked Interest Groups
        • Notes
        • Photo
        • PIN
      • Select the Check Member ID option to validate that the Member ID displayed is available to be used.
      • Confirm with the Customer/Member that the details entered are correct and accurate.
      • Select the Done option to add the new Customer/Member to Swiftpos Back Office.
  • In Back Office:
    • Navigate to the Member Records screen and
    • Locate and select the new Customer/Member added above.
