      What Is It?      ▲ ▼

      Accounts in Swiftpos allow Venues to offer Customers/Members the ability to charge purchases to an Account balance instead of paying immediately. This is ideal for hospitality Venues, clubs, or businesses that provide credit facilities, corporate billing, or Member tabs. Accounts track all charges, payments, and balances, enabling detailed reporting and statement generation through Back Office HERE. Accounts can include credit limits, aged balances, due dates, and optional fees. At the POS, staff can process Account charges, partial payments, and redemptions in real time, ensuring accurate tracking and control.

      • Corporate Billing – Companies allow employees to charge meals or
        purchases to a central corporate Account.
      • Member Accounts – Club Members charge drinks and meals to their
        Member tab for later payment.
      • Fuel Account – Businesses track vehicle fuel purchases, recording odometer
        readings for each transaction.
      • Credit Control – Accounts exceeding 90-day balance are automatically
        restricted from further charges.
      • Monthly Fee Accounts – Apply automatic administrative fees to active
        Accounts each month.

      Account Setup &
      Editing      		 Create and edit Accounts directly in Back Office. Each Account
      includes Customer details, limits, and transaction history.
      Credit Limits &
      Balances      		 Set credit limits and view current balances, with alerts when
      limits are reached.
      Active Date Range Define start and end dates for Account validity. Expired
      Accounts cannot accept new charges.
      Aged Balances Automatically categorise outstanding amounts into Current,
      30, 60, and 90+ day periods.
      Transaction
      History      		 View all charges, payments, and adjustments by date and type.
      Account Fees Apply recurring or one-off Account fees automatically during
      end-of-day processing.
      Invoice &
      Statement Printing      		 Generate printable statements summarising Account activity
      and outstanding balances.
      POS Charge &
      Redemption      		 Charge full or partial sales to an Account, or redeem funds from
      it at POS terminals.
      Data Fields at POS Optionally prompt for Odometer, Registration, or PO Number
      when charging Accounts (common for fuel or fleet setups).
      Tax & Exemption
      Controls      		 Mark Accounts as GST-exempt to automatically exclude tax on
      eligible transactions.
      Security Controls Enforce user-level permissions and prevent unauthorised
      credit limit changes.
      Account Notes &
      Linking      		 Add notes, link related Accounts, and view change logs for
      audit tracking.
