What Is Required? ▲ ▼
- OrderAway must be configured and operating, and the Venue's Location must be activated with the Submit orders directly to POS Terminal option selected. Refer to How To Activate A swiftpos Location for more information.
- The Gift Cards/Stored Value Vouchers will need to be created and issued in Back Office and still be valid and active.
Increases the payment options available to patrons by offering them the option of redeeming Gift Cards/Vouchers when paying for an Order/Sale while using a Venue's OrderAway.

What Are The Limitations? ▲ ▼
Currently with regards to Gift Cards/Vouchers in OrderAway the following is:
- Supported
- Discounts added as an assigned Action to the Voucher.
- Stored Value Vouchers - The Items Not On Promotion option is NOT supported.
- Voucher Mapping.
- NOT Supported
- Issuing Gift Cards/Vouchers.
- Redemptions Triggers (Member Required, PIN required, Multi-voucher redemption, reprint stored value voucher, suppress voucher return prompt, description)
- The Items Not On Promotion option is NOT supported for Stored Value Vouchers.
- 3rd Party Gift Card/Voucher providers such as Blackhawk, Vii, Zen Global, etc.
How To Configure For Vouchers? ▲ ▼
Do as follows in OrderAway:
- Access the Profile's Payment tab. Refer to How To Access The Configuration Tabs for more information.
- Ensure the Enable Voucher Redemption option is selected.
- Select Save to save the changes.
How To Redeem Gift Cards / Vouchers In OrderAway? ▲ ▼
Once OrderAway has been enabled for Voucher redemptions, patrons will be presented with an Add Voucher option when proceeding to Checkout. A Gift Card/Stored Value Voucher can be redeemed by either scanning a QR code or entering the Voucher number manually. When redeeming a Voucher the following scenarios are possible:
- The Order/Sale Value Is Less Than Or Equal To The Voucher's Remaining Balance
- The Order/Sale Value Is Greater Than The Voucher's Remaining Balance
The Order / Sale Value Is Less Than The Voucher'S Balance ▲ ▼
- When in the Checkout screen, select the Add Voucher option.
- The patron will be prompted to scan a QR Code or enter a Voucher number.

- The remaining balance of the Voucher will be reduced by the value of the Sale.
The Order / Sale Value Is Greater Than The Voucher'S Balance ▲ ▼
- When in the Checkout screen, select the Add Voucher option.
- The patron will be prompted to scan a QR Code or enter a Voucher number.
- Once redeemed, the patron will be required to pay the remaining value.
Notes...
If the Voucher entered/scanned has a $0.00 remaining balance, then the patron will be presented with a prompt simliar to the one below.

- The remaining balance of the Voucher will be zero, and the Voucher will NOT be able to be used again.
