What Is Required? ▲ ▼
Ensure the Launch Application (#121) POS Key is added to the appropriate Keyboard Layout via the Designer and configured as outlined below.
How To Configure The POS Key ▲ ▼
- In Designer, once the Launch Application (#121) POS Key has been added to the appropriate Keyboard Layout.
- Change the Caption to something appropriate. For example, Restart Windows.
- Consider Clerk Security if required.
- Select the More Settings button to open the Launch Application Settings screen.
- In the Application Path field, enter the following:
C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe - In the Arguments (Optional) field, enter the following:
/C shutdown -r -t 0 - Select OK and then select the Save button to save the settings.
- Ensure a Full Update is sent to the swiftpos Touch Terminals using the updated Layout.
How To Restart Windows From Touch ▲ ▼
In Touch:
- Select the configured Restart Windows (Launch Application (#121)) POS Key.
- This will result in Windows restarting.
