This outlines how to manage Menus tailored for Events in Back Office and the Events Portal.
Menus can be created and maintained using the Back Office Catalogues & Menus menu option.

How To Add A Menu ▲ ▼
This can refer to either one of the following:
Add A Menu To A Catalogue ▲ ▼
To add an existing Menu to a Catalogue, do this:
- In the Event Catalogues screen:
- In the Catalogue section:
- Select the Catalogue in the grid to which the Menu is to be added. Once selected a list of it's current Menus will be displayed in the Menus tab.
- Select the Add button in the Menus tab to display a list of Menus to select from.
- Choose one of more then select the Choose Selected button.
- The selected Menus will now appear in the grid for the selected Catalogue.
- If required, refer to the Change The Display Order Of Menus subject to change the order of the Menus listed in the grid.
- In the Catalogue section:
Add A New Menu ▲ ▼
- In the Event Catalogues screen:
- Select the Menu Builder button to open the Menu Builder screen:
- Select the Add button to add a row to the grid.
- Give the new Menu an appropriate name. For example, Family Concert Morning Menu.
- If necessary enter a Type for Menus of a similar type. For example, Family. Menu Types are mainly used when a Venue has numerous Menus, and filtering maybe necessary.
- If the new Menu is initially NOT to be considered active, then ensure the Inactive option is selected. Be sure to unselect this option when the Menu can be considered active.
- Select Save to save the changes.
- With the new Menu selected, it is now time to add Items to the Menu. To do this:
- With the new Menu selected, select the Add button in the Menu Items tab of the screen, to open the Select Product for New Menu Item screen to search for and select a Product to add as a Menu Item.
- Once selected, the Menu Item Builder screen will be displayed, enabling the new Item to be configured further specifically for Events. Configure as required. Refer to the Menu Item Builder screen topic for more information.
- Select the Accept button to save the changes.
- The new Item will now be displayed in the grid of the Menu Items tab.
- Select Save to save the changes.
- Select the Menu Builder button to open the Menu Builder screen:
How To Delete A Menu ▲ ▼
This can refer to either one of the following:
Remove A Menu From A Catalogue ▲ ▼
- In the Event Catalogues screen:
- In the Catalogue section:
- Select the Catalogue in the grid from which the Menu is to be deleted.
- In the Menu/Items/Rules section select the Menu tab and then select the Menu to be deleted.
- Select the Remove button.
- A prompt will be displayed requesting confirmation to continue. Select the appropriate response.
- If Yes was selected in response to the prompt, select Save to save the changes.
- The deleted Menu will no longer appear in the grid for the selected Catalogue.
- In the Catalogue section:
Delete A Menu ▲ ▼
- In the Event Catalogues screen:
- Select the Menu Builder button to open the Menu Builder screen:
How To Edit A Menu ▲ ▼
- In the Event Catalogues screen:
- Select the Menu Builder button to open the Menu Builder screen:
- Select the Menu in the grid to be edited.
- Select the Delete button.
- If the selected Catalogue is assigned to any future Sessions, a prompt similar to the one below will be displayed. A Catalogue CANNOT be deleted while it is still assigned to future Sessions.
- A prompt will be displayed requesting confirmation to continue. Select the appropriate response.
- If Yes was selected in response to the prompt, select Save to save the changes.
- Select the Menu Builder button to open the Menu Builder screen:
Change The Display Order Of Menus ▲ ▼
To change the order in which the Menus are displayed in the Events Portal:
- In the Event Catalogues screen:
- Select the Catalogue in the grid for which the Menus need to be re-ordered.
- In the Menu/Items/Rules section select the Menu tab.
- Select the Menu in the grid that needs to be re-ordered.
- Select either the Raise or Lower buttons to move the selected Menu up or down in the grid. Menus will be displayed as per the top/down order they are listed in the grid.
