When using Dynamic mode any number of passes and sections can be configured. The status of Items/Orders, as they are added, processed and bumped, will be updated across all passes/sections where and when appropriate.

 

  • Start KVS and navigate to the Configuration Tabs. Refer HERE for more information.
  • Select the General tab.
  • In the General section ensure the Enable option is selected in the Courses section.
  • To configure a Pass when using KVS in Dynamic mode, do as follows:
    • Ensure the Dynamic option is selected.
    • In the Appearance tab in the Show section:
      • Ensure the Items option is NOT SELECTED.
      • Ensure the Bumped Lines option is SELECTED.
      • Also consider selecting the Pass Served Lines option.
    • In the Categories tab:
      • Ensure the relevant Categories are selected and triggered as is required for the Pass being configured. For example, if a Pass is being configured for Desserts, then the Desserts Category will need to be listed in the Shown section and the T (Trigger) option selected. Refer HERE for more information.
  • To configure a Section when using KVS in Dynamic mode, do as follows:
    • Ensure the Dynamic option is selected.
    • In the Appearance tab in the Show section:
      • Ensure the Items option is SELECTED.
      • Ensure the Bumped Lines option is NOT SELECTED.
      • Ensure the Pass Served Lines option is NOT SELECTED.
    • In the Categories tab:
      • Ensure the relevant Categories are selected and triggered as is required for the Section being configured. For example, if a Section is being configured for Mains, then the Mains Category will need to be listed in the Shown section and the T (Trigger) option selected. Refer HERE for more information.
