What Is Required?      

  • Swiftpos v10 release coming soon.

 

When Is It Used?      

Used when a new Product is to be added along with it's Reciped items. For example, a Venue has purchased kegs of beer for a new brand of tap beer and wants to add it to Swiftpos Products along with it's Reciped Items, that will be the items that are sold. For example, a Pot, Schooner, Pint and Jug of beer.

 


How To     

 

How To Add A Base Size?     

Do as follows:

  • the Sizes Config option in the footer section of the Add Recipe Product screen.
  • This will display the Default Sizes screen.
  • In the Base Sizes section of the screen, select the Add option in the footer section to add a row in the grid.
  • In the new row enter the required values for each column.

 

How To Add A New Recipe?      

Do as follows:

  • Select the New Recipe option in the footer section of the Product Records screen.
  • This will display the Add Recipe Product screen.
  • Enter a description of the new Product in the Description field. This will also automatically populate the Short Desc field.
  • Edit the Short Desc if necessary.
  • Select the appropriate Product Group from the drop-down list.
  • Select the appropriate Category from the drop-down list.
  • Select the Default Size from the drop-down list. This will also automatically populate the Amount field.
  • Edit the Amount if necessary.
  • Edit the PLU displayed in the Specify PLU field if necessary. Once edited, select the Next option to apply the PLU and determine the PLUs for the Recipe Items listed in the grid below.
  • Select the Price Levels for which Prices need to be set.
  • In the grid listing the Recipe Items, ensure:
    • Only those Recipe Items are selected that need to be added.
    • Opposite each of the selected Recipe Items, set the Prices for each of it's Price Level columns.
  • Select Save to add the Recipe Product and it's Recipe Items. This will display the following prompt:

  • Select Yes to ensure the selections made (Product Group, Category, Default Size, Amount, Price Levels and Reciped Items and  and Prices) are saved and displayed again for the entry of the next new Recipe Product that is similar to the previous one added.
  • Select No to ensure the selections made are cleared and reset to their default settings.

 

 

How To Add A Product Size?     

Do as follows:

  • the Sizes Config option in the footer section of the Add Recipe Product screen.
  • This will display the Default Sizes screen.
  • In the Product Sizes section of the screen, select the Add option in the footer section to add a row in the grid.
  • In the new row enter the required values for each column.

Add Recipe Products Screen

To access, select the New Recipe option in the footer section of the Product Records screen. Used to add a new Recipe Product and it's Reciped Items.

 

Sections      

 

Header Section     

  • Product PLU - Displays/Enter the PLU of the new Reciped Product. The PLU entered here must not already exist in Product Records.
    • Next - Select to apply the PLU entered to the Reciped Items in the grid section. This is done by adding the PLU Offset value configured in the Default Sizes screen for each Recipe item to the PLU entered above, to determine the PLU of each Recipe Item in the grid.
  • Description - Enter the Description of the Reciped Product being added.
  • Short Desc - Enter the Short Description of the Reciped Product being added.
  • Category - Select from the drop-down list the Category the new Reciped Product is to be associated with.
  • Product Group - Select from the drop-down list the Product Group the new Reciped Product is to be associated with.
  • Base - Select from the drop-down list the Base the new Reciped Product is to be based on. For example, this maybe a Keg, Wine, Packaged or Spirit.
  • Size - Displays/Enter the size of the new Reciped Product. For example, for a bottle of wine this may be 750ml.
  • UOM - Select from the drop-down list the unit of measure applicable to the value entered in the Size field above.

 

Price Level Grid Section     

Lists the Price Levels along with their Price. Select the checkbox in the first column opposite the Price Level to be included.

 

Grid Section     

Lists the Recipe Products along with their PLU, Size, UOM and Qty, as well as any Price Levels selected in the Price Level Grid section above.

 

Noteworthy

  • Price Levels - Enter a Price the Recipe Item is going to be sold at for each of the Price Levels selected.

 

Footer Section     

  • Bases & Recipe Sizes - Select to open the Bases & Recipe Sizes screen to edit/manage Base and Recipe Sizes.
  • Save - Select to save and add the new Recipe Product and it's Reciped Items.
  • Cancel - Select to exit without adding any new Recipe Products.

To access, select the Bases & Recipe Sizes option in the footer section of the Add Recipe Product screen. Used to edit/manage bases and recipe sizes.

Lists the Bases along with their Size and UOM.

 

Footer Section

  • Add - Select to add a new Base Size to the grid.
  • Delete - Select to delete the selected Base Size.

 

Recipes Section

Grid Section

Lists the Recipes along with their Size, UOM and PLU Offset.

 

Footer Section

  • Add - Select to add a new Recipe to the grid.
  • Delete - Select to delete the selected Recipe.
  • Save - Select to save the changes and exit.
  • Cancel - Select to exit without saving any changes.
