How Is It Managed?      ▲ ▼

• The Sales Processing service can be manually started/stopped by using either the Services menu option in the Administration menu in Back Office or by right clicking the S (Sales Processing) service indicator in the Information bar in the bottom right of the Back Office main menu.

What Is It?      ▲ ▼

The Sales Processing service processes sales generated by the swiftpos terminal communications software.

What To Consider?      ▲ ▼

• Sales made at the Touch terminals are written to sale transaction files located in the path as defined at the Location Group (Venue) level.
• The time taken to process a sale transaction made at a Touch terminal is determined by the Scan Interval setting (set here) and the Inactivity Time set at the Touch terminal being greater than 5 seconds.
• This service is not required to be running for sales transactions made using Back Office.
• This service is not designed for small sites where services are running on the Touch terminals.
• Member Campaigns rely on sales being processed in the Back Office before results are displayed.

It is used to scan for sales made at swiftpos Touch terminals and process these.
