What Is Required? ▲ ▼
- One or more Products must exist in Swiftpos with a Preferred Supplier assigned.
When Is It Used? ▲ ▼
Used to change the Preferred Supplier from one to another for a list of selected Products.
How To? ▲ ▼
How To Change From One Preferred Supplier To Another? ▲ ▼
Do as follows:
- In the Preferred Supplier Wizard screen:
- Select the select option to the right of the Change From Supplier field to display the Search Supplier screen.
- Select the Supplier that represents the Preferred Supplier from which the Products listed in the grid is to be changed.
- Select OK.
- Select the select option to the right of the To Supplier field to display the Search Supplier screen.
- Select the Supplier that represents the Preferred Supplier to which the Products listed in the grid is to be changed.
- Select OK.
- Select using the filters in the Header section to limit the Products listed in the grid, for which the change of Preferred Supplier will occur.
- Select the Fill Grid option to ensure the grid is populated.
- If necessary, used the Delete Row option to further remove individual Products from the grid that are not to be included as part of the change.
- If necessary, used the Reset Grid option to remove all rows in the grid.
- Confirm that all Products listed are correct and are those that need to be changed.
- Select the Commit option in the Footer section to ensure the change is committed to all Products listed in the grid.
- Select the select option to the right of the Change From Supplier field to display the Search Supplier screen.

Preferred Supplier Wizard Screen ▲ ▼

To access, select the Preferred Supplier Wizard menu option from the Data Export menu in Back Office. Used to assign in bulk a preferred Supplier to list of Products.
Filters
Limit the number of Products listed in the Grid section, by selecting one or more of the following filters:
- Change From Supplier - Select the Supplier that represents the Preferred Supplier from which the Products listed in the grid is to be changed, to:
- To - Select the Supplier that represents the Preferred Supplier to which the Products listed in the grid is to be changed.
- Filter Products By:
- Product Group From - Displays/Select the From/To range of Product Groups to ensure only those Products are listed in the grid that are assigned to a Product Group within the range selected.
- Family - Displays/Select the Family.
Other Fields/Options
- To Supplier - Displays/Select the Preferred Supplier to which the Products are to be assigned to.
- Fill Grid - Select to ensure the grid is filled with the Products based on the filters selected.
- Reset Filters - Select to ensure all selected filters are cleared and the default values restored.
List the Products that are returned when the Add Products option in the header is selected. List their Product Code, Description, Product Group and Preferred Supplier.
Notes ...
When the Commit option is selected in the Footer section, Products listed in the grid will have their Preferred Supplier changed to the To Supplier selected in the header section.
- Delete Row - Select to remove the selected Product (row) from the grid.
- Reset Grid - Select to remove all Products listed in the grid.
- Commit - Select to commit to the changing of the Preferred Supplier for the Products listed in the grid.
- Close - Select to exit the screen.
