In the Keyboards screen in Back Office, do as follows:
- Select the Open Keyboard button to select a Keyboard from the Touch Keyboards screen, to which the POS Key is to be added to.
- Using the Left/Right arrows or the Layout drop down list navigate to and select the Layout to which the POS Key is to be added to.
- Once the Layout is displayed, select a cell (empty or containing an existing POS Key) in the Layout. This will ensure it is active.
- Once selected a POS Key can be added to the Layout in one of the following ways:
- Using Quick Buttons (to the left of the Layout):
- Select either the Products, Functions, Finalisers or Keypad Layouts Quick Button to expand it and select the required POS Key from the drop down list.
- Once selected, drag it to the now active cell.
- The POS Key will now be added to the cell and replace any previous POS Key assigned to that cell.
- Using Button Properties (to the right of the Layout):
- Select the type of POS Key to be added from the Link Type drop down list.
- Once selected, select the search button to the right of the Link Item field, to open the Function Keys screen to locate and select the POS Key to be added.
- Once selected, the POS Key will be added to the cell and replace any previous POS Key assigned to that cell.
- Using Quick Buttons (to the left of the Layout):
- Once the new POS Key has been added, it can now be configured as required. Refer to How To Configure A POS Key for more information.
- Select the Save button to save the changes.
- Ensure a Full Update is sent to the POS terminals that require the update.
