When Is It Used?      


Used to create/design/maintain Keyboards for use in conjunction with Swiftpos Touch. This includes Keyboards, Layouts and POS Keys.

 


How To?      

 

How To Add A Keyboard?      

In the Keyboards screen in Back Office, do as follows:

  • Select either the New Keyboard option in the Keyboard menu or the New Keyboard option in the footer, to open the New Keyboard Wizard screen.
  • Select from the Style drop-down list the appropriate style of Keyboard to be added. Styles differ when it comes to the location and size of Layout elements. For example, Fixed Keys, Sales Grid.
  • Complete the configuration of the settings displayed for the style selected above.
  • Select the Next option in the footer to display the screen HERE titled New Keyboard Wizard.
  • Complete the configuration of the settings displayed.
  • Select the OK option in the footer to save the changes and display the New Layout screen.
  • Enter an appropriate name for the Layout to be created for the new Keyboard into the Layout Name field.
  • Configure the Layout by adding and configuring POS Keys as is appropriate for how the Keyboard will be used in the Venue. POS Keys can be added for Finalises, Functions, Images, Layouts and Products. Configure the POS Keys added as is appropriate for their use in the Location.
  • Once complete select Save to save the changes.
  • Send a Full Update to the Touch terminals requiring the new Keyboard.
  • Once the update has been applied, configure Touch to now use the new Keyboard. Refer HERE for more information.

 

IMPORTANT

 

It is recommended that the Keyboard and all the Layouts and POS Keys are thoroughly tested before being introduced into a production environment.
